They are composed of a cushion material such as soft asbestos millboard, cerabestos, compressed
asbestos sheet and P.T.F.E. sheet with two sheets of thin metal jackets. The structure of DYG.T.S.
No. 1652 is basically identical with that of DYG.T.S. No. 152 except additional attachment of
expanded graphite tapes. DYG.T.S. No. 152 and 1652 are extensively used on pipe flanges hand-
ling steam at high temperature and high pressure, gases, oil gases, solvent vapor, etc., on cover of
pressure vessel, and on cylinder head cover of combustion engines. They are the most popular gas-
ket to seal in heat exchangers.

Standard sizes are prepared for JPI and ANSI pipe flanges. Single jacket is offered in case of
smaller width than 5mm. Cross section of this single jacket type is as illustrated below.

On pipe flanges of oil refining and petrochemical plants.
In heat exc-hangers. On valve bonnets and on cover of
pressure vessels. On cylinder head cover of combustion
engines.

compressor, joints of air duct, valve bonnet, and cover
of autoclaves. Suitable designs are the following for
autoclaves.

carbon steel jackets. It has cone cross section, guide for
quick installation and touch line for better sealing. They
are of indispensable gasket for the tuyure of blower in steel mills.
