| Flat metal gasket is the most simple and economical type of all the metal gaskets which is made of cold rolled metal plate. Serrated metal gasket is also made of cold rolled metal plate, but it has cocentric grooves and effective sealing area is minimized so as to increase sealing effect. Both of these gaskets are extensively used on pipe flanges, valve bonnets, covers of pressure ve- ssels at high pressure and temperature. |
