DYG.T.S. No. 3004 (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with non asbestos paper)
DYG.T.S. No. 4004 (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with expanded graphite tape)
DYG.T.S. No. 5004 (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with P.T.F.E. tape)

These gaskets are composed of spiral winding only, without inner or outer metal centering dev-
ice, and are noted as the most economical and highest quality semi-metallic gasket.
Standard sizes are prepared for both JIS and ANSI pipe flanges. Furnish rough sketch, blueprint or accurate template of cover assembly with necessary dimensions and width of available seating s- urface when ordering gaskets of shapes other than round. Customers are requested to do specify pressure service rating and operating temperature in all cases for correct fabrication.
They are extensively used at processing lines of oil refining and petrochemical plants, at valve bon- nets, manhole cover assemblies, boilers, etc., handling high temperature and pressure steam, heati- ng medium, chemicals, etc. DYG.T.S. No. 3004 satisfies most of all gasket requirements, however, use DYG.T.S. No. 4004 to seal high vacuum and highest temperature fluids and DYG.T.S. No. 5004 to seal highly corrosive fluids.

DYG.T.S. No. 3034 (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with non asbestos paper)
DYG.T.S. No. 4034 (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with asbestos paper)
DYG.T.S. No. 5034 (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with P.T.F.E. tape)

These gaskets are used on male-and-female flanges or joints. The inner ring incorporated serves
to strengthen a spiral wound sealing element and well fills up the crevice between flanges to mini-
mize build-up process material and erosion of flange.
Standard sizes are prepared for JIS and ANSI pipe flanges. Customers are kindly required to
specify pressure rating of the pipe flanges. The specification is always taken into account when
designing and fabricating the gaskets.
They are mainly used on male-and-female flanges, valve bonnets, covers of various pressure vessels. DYG.T.S. No. 3034 provides an enough performance in ordinary services. However, DYG.T.S. No. 4034 is more recommendable for the operating conditions where high sealability and perfect airtight- ness are required at a high temperature. DYG.T.S. No. 5034 is well suited for the line handling highly corrosive fluid.

DYG.T.S. No. 3004R (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with non asbestos paper)
DYG.T.S. No. 4004R (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with expanded graphite tape)
DYG.T.S. No. 5004R (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with P.T.F.E. tape)

The attached outer ring is designed to serve as a centering aid for installation, controlling comp-
ression of the spiral wound sealing element, which contacts the inside of bolts. It also offers add-
itiona l strength to the spiral wound to prevent possibility of gasket blow-out.
These gaskets are composed of spiral winding only, without inner or outer metal centering dev-
ice, and are noted as the most economical and highest quality semi-metallic gasket.
Standard sizes are prepared for JIS, JPI, ANSI, API, BS, MSS, TAYLOR FORGE and LADISH pipe flanges.
These types are the most widely used to seal flat and raised face pipe flanges, joints of towers
of pressure vessels. They are designed to withstand a high pressure, a high temperature and a
low temperature service, DYG.T.S. No. 3004R is an ordinary type being extensively used in a
general processing and utility line of oil refining, petrochemical and other plants. Use DYG.T.S.
No. 4004R for a high vacuum condition, severer working conditions where perfect airtightness is
required. It is also better suited for a line receiving hard heat cycles. DYG.T.S. No. 5004R is
prepared for the lines handling chemicals and the fluids which must be kept free from conta-
mination.

DYG.T.S. No. 3034R (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with non asbestos paper)
DYG.T.S. No. 4034R (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with expanded graphite tape)
DYG.T.S. No. 5034R (spiral wound of stainless steel strip with P.T.F.E. tape)

The use of outer and inner rings provides the advantages in addition to the characteristics of
3004R, 4004R and 5004R gasket that it minimizes build-up of process material between a spiral
wound sealing element and flange bore, reduces turbulence in process fluid flow, minimizes
erosion and corrosion of flange faces, shields a spiral wound sealing element from excessive
heat, restricts lateral flow of a spiral wound sealing element inward toward the flange bore
and offers additional compression stop. They are the most reliable gaskets in coincident high
temperature and pressure services.
Standard sizes are prepared for JIS, JPI, ANSI, API, BS, MSS, TAYLOR FORGE and LADISH pipe flanges.
They are extensively employed to seal in steam and other process lines subject to coincident
high temperature and pressure. Mostly used on flat and raised face flanges. DYG.T.S. No. 3034R
is the most popularly used in general processing lines, (4034R in a high vacuum condition and
lines), 4034R in a high vacuum condition and lines subject to hard heat cycles and perfect airt-
ightness is required at high temperature, and 5034R in highly corrosive services.
